Breather Taps
Aeroflow Taps (AFT) and Smooth Flow Taps (SFT). ‘Breather taps’ are used in containers with only one opening and achieve a non-glug flow.

Non-Breather Taps
Standard (non-breather taps) are used in containers with two openings (caps or bungs). The top cap is loosened to allow air flow.

Snap-Taps
Use Snap-Taps with water, other still beverages, oils, detergents. The polypropylene body makes them suitable for use with boiling water as well. The spring-loaded lever is easy to use even one-handed and shuts off completely with no drips or puddles. We can access a wide range of colour combinations. Venting
We vent caps and drum bungs/plugs for liquid chemicals and powders which emit gasses when filled into plastic drums, jerrycans and bottles.
We use two types of membrane:
1. PTFE for hydrophobic (high surface tension) liquids e.g. Sodium Hypochlorite and Hydrogen Peroxide with only water added.
2. ePTFE Super Resistant Membrane (SRM) for Oleophobic (low surface tension) liquids – refer to our Venting Guidelines download below for venting applications fro SRM.
We stock 38mm (38/400) Child Resistant Closures (CRC) with PTFE or ePTFE (SRM) vented liner.
Caps and bungs can be supplied to us by customers for venting. However, they must be new (unused). Caps or drum bungs with chemical residues create an OSH issue for our staff. Residues can also affect the integrity of the vent. We stock a comprehensive range of caps and drum bungs so can supply new closures if you require.
Ask us about your application. We can advise you on the correct Vented closure/bung for safe storage, handling and transportation of your chemicals. We strongly recommend customers undertake their own trials to prove suitability. Samples for trials are available on request, free of charge.
